Summary
Aerewyn 'Rook' Mercar had heard stories of the famous 'Demon of Vyrantium' through the Shadow Dragons, but never expected to be so intrinsically drawn to him after rescuing him from the Ossuary.
Lucanis had never been truly interested in anyone, but the roots of some deep, unfamiliar feeling are already starting to form, if he can let himself get close enough for them to thrive.

Summary
You speak through a fog, pink like blood in water. Your sleeves are soaked in blight up to the elbow, your hands gripping knives that cut and carve. It doesn’t matter that your arms are tired—from the battles it took to get here, from slaying a god, from this. How long have you been doing this? The boils and veins give way, bursting into black ichor. Somewhere within the guts of the Isle, you’ll find him.

After the Isle of the Gods sees the death of a goddess, Lucanis begins looking for Rook. He does not want to stop.Alternative summary: Lucanis/Spite and Davrin try and fail to kill each other.

Summary
“I cannot believe we found you.”
Rook sits up, watching Lucanis pause halfway into the room. His voice has the softness of worn-down stone. He looks tired, but when does he not? He is well. At least, well by the standards Rook measures the living by: His heart beats, his tissues renew, his soul still governs his own body—most of the time. He suspects Lucanis has a similar checklist for his own line of work.
AKA filling in the blanks of the act 3 romance scene.

Summary
If someone was asked to describe Rook with one word; reckless and impulsive would both come to mind.
Lucanis rushed toward him first, always first with Rook. Moving in front of him, shielding him from a knife aimed at his chest. It's because he leaves himself too open. Or, that's what Lucanis told himself.
But was that it?

Summary
Lucanis turned his head from Rook to look at the Venatori, but from behind him the Venatori’s claw-like hands kept Lucanis’ head in place, forcing him to watch. He leaned in, wine breath and metallic scent, making Lucanis’ gut lurch even more, as if the view wasn’t sickening enough. “Wonder how mangled he needs to be until you sing, Crow.”
(After Lucanis attempts (and fails) to kill Zara, he grapples with new-found betrayals, lost purposes, and feelings he can no longer ignore and refuse to acknowledge all the same. Rook, meanwhile, does what he does best: getting himself skewered by various blood magic attacks, doing dark necromantic rituals to prevent evil witches to come back to life, sneaking into a Venatori gala, and eventually finding himself smack dab in the heart and actual mind of certain assassin)

Summary
House Dellamorte is cursed.
Or so the whispers go. An entire bloodline nearly extinguished in a single, brutal night—slaughtered without mercy, leaving only the First Talon and her two young grandsons behind.
How does a House survive such ruin? How does it breathe through grief thick enough to drown?Caterina wears their loss like armor; choosing pain, choosing punishment, over pyres. Lucanis maps the secrets of the house, quiet and watchful, already half in shadow. Illario, charismatic and angry, finds the questions he longs to ask dead on his tongue.
A character study of House Dellamorte, tracing the shadows cast in the years before Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Content warnings: mentions of abuse, canon-typical violence, mentions of child abuse.
This was written as part of the Dragon Age Big Bang and was illustrated by Slytherkins .

!Finish the game first please! Set after Chapter 6, with references to major plot points. Trans Rook too, heads up.
As a Mourn Watcher, Rook is more than familiar with the chill of the dead, and the consequences of growing up in the Necropolis. But when that past festers to meet him on a job, he's quick to downplay it - much to Lucanis' annoyance.
Hurt/Comfort where Rook pushes himself too far, and flares up a chronic illness/fever he'd long supposed gone.
As dubbed by @Bethenhiemer, "Spite and Lucanis bonding while dragging their unconscious crush through the Necropolis."

Summary
Lucanis Dellamorte didn't survive a year in the Ossuary and get saddled with an irritating demon, just to be put on a Venatori ship headed for an execution. There had to be a way out. There was always a way out.
This time, the way out came in the form of a wild, impulsive thunderstorm who called himself Rook. An out-of-control apostate from the Lords of Fortune, who had blown a cultist to bits with little more than a gesture right in front of Lucanis. During what was supposed to be his daring escape.
To close the impossible distance between himself and home, Lucanis decided to do the only thing he could do: team up with this Rivaini elf armed with more secrets than an Orlesian bard and a stare that made him weak in the knees.
How do you keep up with lightning?

Summary
Rook locked eyes with him as Lucanis moved toward him. Emmrich and Taash seemed to melt away from him as Lucanis took their place. A sheen of purple glimmered in his dark eyes.
“Lucanis—”
His hands grasped Rook’s arms, tight enough to be shocking. “Are you hurt?”

I needed to get my feelings out about my Rook, so here's my take.

“I bet a guy like you has a pretty high body count.”
Ashur blinked, surprised. It wasn’t a complete deviation from the previous story but, from the things he’d learned about Tarquin, he hadn’t expected him to glorify killing numerically, per se.

Summary
He handed over the box of food to Ashur. The weirdness of it didn’t take up as much space when it was just the two of them. He was just Ashur. He had these two larger than life personas, the Viper and the Divine, but right now, with his mask off and a box of curry balanced in one hand, he was just Ashur.
A prompt fic that got out of hand of two people sharing food in a variety of situations as they slowly figure out how they fit together.

Summary
“What are you smiling about?”
Was he smiling? He hadn’t planned that. He let it slip a little wider. Tarquin’s smiles were all a little too sharp but Ashur never seemed put off by it. Everyone else did. Most people wanted his smiles to be warmer or kinder. Tarquin had never been very good at friendly.
If Ashur’s laugh was a reclusive animal, Tarquin’s was the biting kind.
“You laugh like you’ve forgotten how to do it.”

Summary
The moment he rounds the corner, he knows he’s made a terrible mistake. There are five of them, and they’re not even Threads but rather heavily armed mercenaries, and now they all turn to face the drunk lunatic with the shiny sword careening toward them from up the street. Confusion reigns for a precious second or two, and Tarquin takes this time to evaluate all the decisions he’s made in his life that have led him to this point. He finds them all sadly wanting, and then he trips and launches himself face-first at his nearest opponent.
Or: Tarquin is the last one to learn about Ashur's day job. He makes a few bad decisions.

Ashur swallows, and the confession spills out like blood from his lips. ‘All those days wearing a mask. All those nights by myself. Quin, I feel – empty.’
‘No,’ Tarquin says, sounding like Ashur’s words have punched him in the stomach. ‘No.’
