    “Then again, I fear our dear Obi-Wan has been getting too caught up in the inflexibility of the Council. They are so strict, so unforgiving. Speaking with Obi-Wan must be especially difficult these days. How can you stand it?”

    Anakin thinks about the way Obi-Wan’s beard feels against his ear, how warm his hands are when they ruffle Anakin’s hair. That twinkly-blue light in his eyes when Anakin manages to impress him, the way his cheeks flush when he’s been given a genuine compliment. How his lips look so soft–

    “I really can’t,” Anakin replies miserably.

I really love fics that refer to Alec from the books rather than the show (as he will always be closest to my heart however much I like Matthew Daddario), and it's even more perfect when they emphasise how sweet and endearing his personality and character are, so this was just lovely all round. <33

    “No entry after sunset,” said the man, and his voice was deeper than Wei Ying could’ve guessed. “How did you get past the wards?”

    This was... very funny XD and also very well-written and in-character and also realistic! Both WWX's reactions to his situation and everyone else's reactions to his... general everything were realistic, which was satisfying and also hilarious. Lan Zhan was super sweet! And the plot was beautifully crafted.

    Obi-Wan frowns, though he takes the cloak from Anakin’s outstretched hand. It’s an old, worn thing, a bit tattered and faded black, but it’s got a hood and it’s warmer than anything Obi-Wan has on.

    He kneads at the fabric a little, and Anakin considers it, how he’s heard omegas like soft things. How that can be true, Anakin doesn’t know, not when the war had reduced them all to such sharp edges.

     
    Or: five soft things Anakin Skywalker gives Obi-Wan Kenobi after the war, and one soft thing he gets in return.

    This was actually very cute and very soft in a very quiet, distant kind of way that I am struggling to put into words. Something about the transience of it, their lifestyles, juxtaposed against the permanence of their relationship, that feeling of distance from every other person and place in the world and yet a connection to all life. I liked the feelings this fic gave me.

    Intelligent curiosity shines in its eyes. The thought of damning it to a cruel and heartless death brings Obi-Wan physical pain. “No,” whispers Obi-Wan unknowingly. He can’t let the cub die. If he does, he senses that the Force will rip itself loose and leave him a hollow echo.

    “I thought so,” says Qui-Gon, resigned.

    (While on a mission, Obi-Wan is gifted an unusual beast.)
