Summary
A few months after defeating Papillon, the two superheroes of Paris remain in the shadows controlling the city at night. They haven't yet revealed their identities, neither to each other nor to the public: they'll get there, that's what's constantly written on Ladyblog, but for now we have no news. A few months after defeating Papillon, Marinette has a freer mind and a heart full of the companion who always sits in front of her. She has waited and waited, hoping that the wound Garbiel left etched on his skin might heal, but every time she looks at him it seems her feelings no longer want to stay in her mouth.
It's just after math class is over when Marinette decides it's time. The sound of the bell hammers in her eardrums as she hides all her things in her backpack awkwardly and walks down a couple of steps to join Adrien. Alya looks at her from a distance and gives her a sign of encouragement. So she takes a long breath, calls him and confesses her feelings. University has been hard on Marinette. Making new friends and maintaining her grades is a lot easier said than done when she has to disappear at odd times to fight akumas. She's struggling, and with Alya away with family and Adrien painfully out of reach, she's never felt lonelier.
If only she could talk to someone who really understood her struggles... but it's not like Chat Noir would know anything about loneliness. Right?
