“Expecting someone else?” the stranger asks.
“Ah, no,” Nicholas says, and laughs to himself. The beanpole of a man hunched over him startles in confusion, whipping his head back and forth to see what Nick’s laughing at, and it only makes him laugh harder. He thinks of wings, of eyes, of feathers and twisted otherworldly shapes, and shakes his head.
“What?” the other man squawks, indignantly.
“Nothing,” Nicholas repeats, and lets the man in red take his hand and pull him out of the dirt.

Summary
Rem’s thumbprint is a single red petal in the middle of his palm. She holds her hand up for him to inspect and laughs at his and Nai’s shocked faces when they see the new trail of yellow-green on the pad of her thumb.
Nai and Rem are shoulder-to-wrist, yellow-orange to light blue. Nai’s will be bleached gray by the time Vash sees it again, gleaming under the lights of burning ships and double suns. Vash can only assume that Rem’s burns with her, as bright as it ever was.

Summary
He heard the footsteps before he saw their owner, quick and determined. When the slight night breeze blew one tent flap open, Odysseus caught sight of Patroclus emerging from between the rows of tents, his face set with purpose. Something heavy settled in Odysseus's chest at the sight. He had known—or would know—this was coming. He had known Patroclus would come back.
He waited as the young man lingers outside his tent. He could hear him pacing, the scuff of his sandals in the coarse sand easy to follow.
Odysseus was patient, there was plenty of wax left of his candle.
"Odysseus," Patroclus called out finally, slightly breathless, lifting a flap of the tent, the lantern casting the young man's features in a soft warm glow as he appeared from the darkness. "I need your counsel."
AKA EPIC!Ody finds himself back to the fateful day Pat wears the armor. Odysseus is different.
