Life had gotten boring. There was no other way of saying it. You had spent too many years of your life letting your work consume you and, as of late, being an art restorer and conservator felt rather underwhelming. You specialized in religious relics and monuments and were now an independent artist. After years of working in museums and on historical sites, you nowadays only took commissions from particulars, which meant mainly dealing with rich fuckers who wanted to preserve their private collections of dubiously acquired artifacts. However, you were suddenly approached by the very secretive Sister Imperator asking you to travel, for a very well-paid job opportunity, to a place she only referred to as “The Ministry”...

Summary
After Maelle takes over the canvas, Verso struggles to find meaning in the new Lumière. At least, until Gustave offers him to participate in a project together. Slowly, Verso starts to see the man he left to die in a different light, as he also struggles with the guilt of knowing that he's slowly falling in love with him.

SPOILERS FOR THE GAME, LIKE SERIOUSLY
Verso let Gustave die on those cliffs, but he couldn't bring himself leave him there.
He should know that despite good intentions, his sentimentality has never ended well for him.
This becomes even more evident to him as he watches the picto he contained Gustaves chroma in, dissolve into his skin.
