The fact that his older siblings also worked there only worsened things, stripping him of what little privacy he had left. His life was lonely, colorless, and painfully controlled.
Until someone walked through the wrong door.
“Hey.” Dazai’s voice sounded unfamiliar even to his own ears. It had been a long time since he’d spoken to anyone. “This room’s taken, you’re in the wrong place.”
Chuuya’s eyes shifted toward the dark-haired boy. The defiant blue in his gaze softened into something more hesitant. “…Needles,” the child finally said. His voice was quiet, almost a whisper, as he tucked his face further between his knees. “They were going to give me an injection.”

Dazai spent two years undercover to save his soul, assuming his partner was busy cursing his name. He didn't know that during those years of absolute silence, Chuuya was busy dragging the Tsurumi River for a body that didn't exist. This is a fan-fiction cross-mix with Bungo Stray Dogs and My Hero Academia being in the same universe.The characters may not act canonically, In this story, Dazai and Chuuya are both 15 and still in the port mafia.In this world, ability users hated the Rise of hero society so they sealed themselves in Yokohama city, allowing no one to enter or leave.While on the outside world, quirks had developed and the existence of ability users became forgotten with the rise of heroes and villains. The student’s that were in at the time, were thankful that the vice president of the class, Yaoyorozu Momo, was one for resolving things calmly. None of them wanted to hear a screaming match between Bakugou and Mina at 7:40 in the morning. That was when Kaminari Denki, the other person who bursted through the door just moments ago, spoke up.
“The video that was talked about like everywhere since saturday? The one with the two teenagers from Yokohama. There's no way that yall haven’t seen it!”

Dazai Osamu is a name known for belonging to the Port Mafia's infamous Black Wraith.
Underneath that, however: he is still just a boy trying to figure out if living is worth it, and what it means to be one half of a partnership. Perhaps the two matters are related, perhaps he'd rather it that they weren't. Regardless, Dazai isn't all too happy to have his partner separated from him so soon after the 'Stormbringer' fiasco.
If asked, he would argue it's not because he's concerned- but rather because his dog is too inadequate to complete such a complicated mission while recovering in enemy territory alone. And who else would have to intervene to fix the inevitable blow up, if not Dazai? He and Chuuya are unfortunately stuck together, which means they're each other's responsibility. It just sucks that the government outside of Yokohama seems really interested in Chuuya's history.
Chaos is still brewing, and the newly dubbed 'Soukoku' are right in the middle of it all.
[This work is both a prologue and a tag-along to the main installment 'Broken Windows'. This is also the second iteration of 'Broken Mirrors,' so some of you might've seen the first version and recognize this from there.]
