Virgil had always been...the odd one out. He was overly edgy, abrasive, and generally considered rude. Oh, and if he had to guess, the weird ability to make people hallucinate their worst fears probably didn't help.
For the most part, he'd learnt to stop questioning it. That is, until a strange man and his somehow stranger friends come to him with a proposition.
Lying low was supposed to be the plan, but when everything he's ever known is put at stake, he supposed he'd have to get over it and learn to work with these weirdos.

Still, he couldn’t help but begin to worry.
If Cyn’s old owners had thrown her out due to her being “abnormal”, then how did N know that the same thing wasn’t going to happen to him? If his apparent lack of normalcy kept causing problems, then maybe the Elliots would one day finally have enough and get rid of him.
And who could blame them?

After waking up from a memory of his time at the Elliot manor, N begins to feel insecure about being autistic. He starts to wonder if one day Uzi will leave him because he isn’t “normal”. And he can’t even say that he would blame her.
AKA the author is autistic so she projected it onto one of her highest kins and also onto his little sister and his bestie/girlfriend.

Summary
Uzi, a rebellious, angsty teenage worker drone with an error in her coding that gives her access to something known as the Admin Commands, a unique array of powers which help her in her everyday life, is known as a freak to the colony.
N, a ball of sunshine, curious about the world and happy to help anyone, was a failed disassembly drone because of his general discomfort with murder. After his arrival on Copper-9, he was sent back to earth, where after a series of modifications to his coding and his body, he was rendered unable to feel anything but murderous intent. Now he's the leader of his team of disassembly drones, only on the hunt for oil.
When the two meet, and Uzi accidentally rewrites the line of code locking his feelings behind bloodlust, they find an unlikely friendship in one another, which threatens to evolve into something further.
When the man responsible for N's past begins to orchestrate his demise, using his subordinates to find and kill him, he and Uzi must work together to uncover the truth of his past, before it's too late.

And she shoots the elevator cable.Aka. V is dead, and N has no idea how to deal with it without being a burden on Uzi. So he decides not to. Turns out that it wasn't the greatest idea.

A traumatic encounter with a vampire hunter dredges up a lot of messy emotions for Baz, forcing him to confront his vampirism and figure out how to slowly come to terms with who he is without denying any part of himself. Luckily, he has Simon's love and support to help him through it (and also Simon's blood... but you'll have to wait until the end for that part). This fic switches between Baz and Simon's POVs, just like in the books.
AKA I really wanted to write a fic where Baz ends up sucking Simon's blood but I knew that for that to happen, we were gonna need a LOT of angst to happen first.
