Summary
“You’re so tense…” Dennis whispered, voice barely audible over shitty music and people talking. His fingers massaged over Mac’s shoulder as he spoke. “Are you nervous?”
“No!” Mac squeaked—totally not conspicuous at all. “Ahem–just… We haven’t hung out in a while. Gotta get back in the flow of things is all.” Mac would hold back on telling Dennis every time they hang out, he feels like he’s going to puke from a guilt he can’t quite put his finger on.
After reconnecting with Dennis, Mac has to struggle with the revelation that he will never be the good Catholic boy he's supposed to be. Dennis helps worsen those thoughts, along with getting his own personal gain from the situation.

A small chuckle followed the words, because really, it was funny to imagine Mac getting what he wanted. He wouldn’t be able to take how Dennis is in bed. He was mean, dominating, aggressive, and violent in a way he’s never seen Mac act.
“I’ve been handling you for thirty years.” Mac’s lip escaped his teeth as he leaned forward, eyes trailing Dennis with a hunger that hadn’t even bothered to be given to his steak. “The only part of you I haven’t handled, I’m sure I could take care of easily.”

“You look beautiful.” Mac sounded breathless, and it was partly from the physical activity, but also from the sheer beauty lying beneath him. Those angry eyes softened at the compliment. It’d get Mac off his back; the idiot would be none the wiser if Dennis simply purged the food after eating it. The concept wasn’t foreign to Dennis, though he preferred to just not eat in the first place, but after a particularly bad binge (Dennis hated that habit he’d somehow developed, stress eating), he’d used it to get rid of that sickening full feeling in his stomach.
When Mac tries fixing Dennis's disordered eating habits, Dennis finds other ways to stay fit.

Most importantly, it was supposed to happen alone, but instead, Wilson is there. Wilson is there, and he is panicking and shouting stuff that House's ringing ears can't quite pick up.
A hand slaps his face, hard, "You are not dying, you selfish bastard!" Wilson screamed at him, finally making it through; the action allows House to open his eyes.
To contrast the slap, Wilson grabs House's wrist like it's the most delicate flower he's ever touched, shaky fingers afraid to crush and mangle the colorful petals. His eyes look like tears are about to breach the seal of his tear ducts. House probably beat him to it, involuntarily, because his face feels wet.
House's intended relief goes too far; he doesn't care enough to fix it. It isn't clear to him whether Wilson's caring is a good or bad thing.
