My Inquisitor is not immediately One of the Gang. She doesn't like these people who've kidnapped her and enlisted her in a war she has nothing to do with. She doesn't know how to do everything right away.
This also means she doesn't jump on the nearest attractive Commander immediately. (Sorry 'bout that. I have other stories where immediate jumping DOES occur, if that's more your thing.) So when I say "slow burn", I am really not kidding.
A large change I've made is I took 20 years off the ages of both Gaspard and Florianne. Not only do they fit in much better with the rest of the cast we're so fond of, it makes the backstory of the Orlesian crown (which ends up playing a part in this) much more understandable. But if you've glanced at the tags you can figure out another reason I did it. :)

She was not the only one the Fereldan Commander of the Grey chose. Some, out of necessity, others willingly decided to join the ranks of the Wardens at Ostagar.
Only time would tell if their combined force would be enough to stop the darkspawn horde that was ready to ravage Ferelden.

so my canon is superior to the Duffer brother's canon cause Chrissy and Eddie didn't die, no i will not hear otherwise. so here's a bunch of (unrelated, unless stated otherwise) random fics.
also! I've seen some criticism circling around other fics for this pairing and just want to put it out there that I understand their age difference in real life would turn some heads, however these fics are written in the premise that everyone is of consenting ages and mindsets (should you choose to age up both or just one character, please feel free to - I absolutely do not condone the use of a singular minor in a fic surrounding their relationship with a legal adult, and that is not the intention behind these fics!)

So Eddie blushes, cocking his curls to cover his face—carding a lock to his mouth, where he chuckles cautiously. He could get used to such a sight, he thinks as he rights himself, biting the pulp of his plump bottom lip—nipped before breaking a grin. “That’s a lot of denim, Chrissy Cunningham,” he gestures to her jacket and her jeans—charisma, the bold drops in the belly of his bucket. A lifeline of sorts.
To which, Chrissy giggles—her laughter like lilac. “Maybe you’re rubbing off on me,” she says, unaware of Eddie’s desire to do exactly that.

What follows is a version of Stranger Things season 4 where Chrissy does not die, and is from the perspective of Eddie and Chrissy and their growing romance.
