Summary
After defeating Hawkmoth and finishing high school, Marinette moves to Gotham to try being a normal girl. Turns out being normal is not in the cards for a girl like Marinette. She was drawn to Gotham for a reason and it isn't good. The bats don't want her there, and figuring out what's wrong with Gotham is proving more difficult than she anticipated. At least she's got her new friend Tim to keep her sane.

“We, er, fell asleep?” Marinette said.
“Yeah,” Tim chuckled, voice deeper from disuse. “Sorry. I didn’t meant to overstay my welcome."
“Your welcome never expires,” she scolded him automatically. “Sorry for falling asleep on you. I guess we were both tired last night.”
“You can fall asleep on me any time,” Tim said before his brain could catch up with what he was saying. “Er, wait, that’s uh, that’s not what I meant to say. I mean, you can fall asleep on me if you want to, but, uh, you don’t have to. Wait, no.”

Based in part on ggomos-maribat's tumblr post about Damian and Marinette being casual about being married.
Ladybug and her team join the Justice League, and honestly, she should have expected that this level of organization would require a ton of meetings. Frazzled but surviving it, Ladybug gets to her meeting way too early after her computer fails to update time zones. Robin, who considers 15 minutes early to mean punctual, shows up in a good mood after some big life news and they get to talking.
Unfortunately, the second their fingers touch they become soul bonded.
TL;DR: Ladybug and Robin navigate suddenly being spiritually married, the whole watchtower somehow finds out and wouldn't you know it, they make a great pair. Power couple bullshit, Secret identity shenanigans, and lots of calling each other husband and wife. But like, casually.

don't @ me for not finishing my other story, instead take this short one shot of a cliche trope. its not been edited but it is my current brainrot.
When a soulmate gets wounded/injured, their equal half inherits the same wound. This means that Marinette has questions about Damian's entire life and that Damian has questions about his very suddenly disappearing wounds. It takes them meeting on the Watchtower for everything to fall into place.
