Bill had told Ford that he had been working hard lately. He'd told Ford that he'd deserved a reward, that the amount of stress he was carrying was unhealthy. Bill had offered to temporarily sever some neural connections here and there—nothing that Ford would really miss—and help Ford relax. To Bill's near equal shock and delight, Ford decided to take him up on the offer.
