Summary
The morning Anna stepped off the bus into Pelican Town, the former party-girl from the big city knew she had a daunting task ahead of her. Walking into Nollaig Farm, she wondered what she had talked herself in to. Restoring the farm itself was going to be a large task and, with a population of just over thirty, she was somewhat of a celebrity to the townspeople.
Everyone was watching her, but Anna liked that. She was used to it. So, why did one particular set of dark eyes make her so uneasy? Unsure of herself? She didn't like that; especially because the owner of those dark eyes happened to be a massive dick. He seemed to be watching her just to see her fail, just to make a snarky remark, just to curl his lips into that cocky smirk. She didn't like that, either.
But the one thing she disliked the most, hated even, was the fact that she sometimes caught herself wondering what it would be like to kiss that smirk off of his face.
Or slap it, either way worked for her.Will Anna be able to move on from things haunting her from her past, finally to find love, or will she be doomed to repeat the same mistakes?
