The young Jaskier turned then and put his back to a door and held the key in front of him. “One thing, just in case I’m reading this wrong…” His voice was a little breathy and though his words were uncertain, he wore his confidence without hesitation. “...there’s only one bed. We’ll have to share, my dear.”
The older man crowded closer to Jaskier, closer than they had yet been. He put one hand on the door next to Jaskier’s head and took the door key from him with the other, letting his fingers drag over the other’s hand.
“Oh I am sure there’s room enough for the both of us. Unless I’m reading this wrong?”
“I suspect we are both reassuringly literate in this regard, darling.”

Summary
A contract, a proposal of some sort, and apparently it would pay well. That was something that the witcher hadn’t had in far too long and he was running desperately short of coin as it was. Sounded like a very simple job, escort the lord to a banquet, then through a maze. Fuck. Nobility were a bizarre group but this had the makings of a weirder than usual encounter. He knew that the kingdom of Lettenhove left the choice of the new ruler to Destiny, but he hadn’t realized how “Destiny” made her choice known.
Seemed as good an option as any other, he supposed, why not chase a virgin through a maze?

Or - what happens when Geralt is supposed to lead a lord to a prize, but finds himself coveting the prize and wanting it for himself?

His mind obediently fucked off for the night, leaving Jaskier’s mouth to its own devices.
