He’s looking at the desk so he doesn’t have to look at the body under the desk, crumpled and smaller than it has any right to be. There’s no blood, because he’d shot him with a blaster, but the room smells faintly of burned flesh and fabric and wood. He licks his lips and considers the Chancellor’s staring eyes, pale yellow in the light streaming through his office windows.
Behind him, Thorn curses. “Fuck.”
Fox nods. “Do you think we can hide it in the closet?”
“Do you think we can - no, we cannot hide the Chancellor of the Republic’s body in a closet. Someone is going to start missing him.”

Fox shoots Palpatine. He would love to think that this fixes everything - peace can be declared, his brothers can stop fighting, people might give his Guard a modicum of respect - but he's worked the Senate long enough to know that the man wasn't the only one who wanted this war to drag on forever.
They can't let the rest of the world know that Sheev Palpatine died in his office. It's fine. Everything is fine. Fox has been on Coruscant long enough to know how to put on a show, and he knows more about the man than anyone else. They can do this.
They don't have a choice.

The newly-appointed Coruscant Guard General, Quinlan Vos, though is far-too interested in all the things about the Guard that Fox wants to keep hidden.

Ahsoka Tano had made her decision. She'd leave the Jedi Order, and there was nothing her Master could say that would convince her otherwise. She'd lost all the trust she'd once harbored for the Order. And for herself. The only thing she still trusted to guide her was the Force. So, when the Force suddenly started pushing against the decision she had made for herself, Ahsoka saw no other choice, but to go against her every instinct and stay with an Order she no longer felt like she belonged with.
Commander Fox had survived just fine without a Jedi general for years. He didn't need the help of a Force wielder, and neither did he want it at this point. So, when the Jedi suddenly forced a general upon him after years of fighting alone for the wellbeing of his troops, Fox doesn't know what to think. Other than that he really doesn't trust General Ahsoka Tano to do right by his boys.

Summary
Fox dies.
Except he doesn’t, because as soon as the creepy Sith ritual drains the last of the blood from his body, he wakes up…somewhere. Somewhere else, where, for once, he can’t feel the Emperor’s claws digging into his head every hour of the cycle.
Unfortunately, this somewhere else is so deep in the middle of nowhere that he gets picked up by a mandalorian—some asshole called Montross who quickly proves that he’d be more helpful dead, especially once Fox finds out that this shabuir wants to sell him off to the Kyr’tsad. In a final bid for freedom, Fox disposes of his would-be captor, commandeers his ship, and goes on the run from the man’s terrorist Kyr’tsad friends and his weird Haat Mando’ad coworkers.
…until the weird coworkers finally catch up to Fox.
Or: upon his death, Fox is thrown several decades into the past, lands in Mandalore’s backyard, gets himself adopted, and (mostly intentionally) alters the course of the galaxy.
Oh, and he isn’t the only vod to get tossed through time and space.

Summary
The Battle of New York: Tony flies himself and the nuke through the wormhole and when his suit shuts down and he starts to fall, he knows he's going to die.
But then he wakes up in an alley in Brooklyn, two strangers staring down at him in confusion and Tony is sure he is dreaming when he shakes hands first with pre-serum Steve Rogers, and then Bucky Barnes.
Trapped in 1942, Tony befriends Steve, and falls in love with Bucky but America is at war, and Bucky and Steve ship out to join the cause.
Tony knows all the stories about the Howling Commandos and knows what’s coming for the soldiers, and has to live through history as first Bucky falls, and then Steve disappears.
Tony is left alone in the 40's, crying himself to sleep in the house he had shared with his best friend and his lover.
But then he wakes up on the pavement in New York, the Hulk roaring in his face, Steve staring down at him, and he has to wonder if it was all a hallucination.
When Tony fell through the sky, did he fall through time as well? Why does Steve act so cold towards him? Were he and Bucky really that happy together?Did it all really happen, or is Tony in love with a life he can only have in his dreams?
