Summary
10 years after graduation everyone has their lives together. At least Mike assumes so. He’s lost contact with most of the people from Hawkins after moving to New York City to pursue writing, which worked out.
Until Mike realized that was all he really did anymore.
Something he didn’t expect was his agent to force him to make a comic book to follow up the success of his first novel.
Something he expected even less was that the artist would be the very person he moved to New York to keep his heart away from.

Will sighs, resigned. He drops his hands. “Okay. Honestly?” He hesitates, then shrugs. “He was a bad kisser. And I just… couldn’t get excited around him. At all.”
The reaction is immediate and merciless. Dustin makes a dramatic gagging noise. El gasps like she’s been handed gossip gold. Lucas high-fives Max, shaking her hand in his.
Mike doesn’t say anything. He just watches Will, watches the way he shrugs it off, the way he laughs a little too loud, the way his ears go red.
Or, Will's new boyfriend is a bad kisser. Mike thinks it's a crime that no one has kissed Will properly. He's on a goal to change that, Carlton be damned.

"Don't be a baby," he murmurs and slips his sweater up his arm, "you've had worse and were alright," despite saying that, Mike can't help but notice how his brows furrow at the sight of the angry, red brand on his wrist. With a sigh, and a congested sounding sniff that would gross him out if it were anyone else, Will reaches up and apparently decides he wants him dead.
"Okay, ow, ow, seriously— Ow!" he yelps as Will decides to press two fingers next to his nose where it hurts, "I'm sorry, ow! I'm sorry that you broke up with your boyfriend because of me— Ow!"
"Stop acting dumb Mike," Will breathes out, eyes narrowed at his nose like it personally wronged him.
