Summary
Steve opens his bedroom door to find...absolute carnage. His bed has moved, the mattress is off the frame, there’s blankets and pillows strewn everywhere, feathers swirling in the air.
“Eddie?”
Eddie pops up on the other side of the bed, shirtless and frantic looking, “I didn’t, I didn’t do anything,” he says guiltily, “it just, it just...it just exploded,” and then he mimes an explosion, waving his hands in the air.
Steve stares, the feathers settling. Eddie’s actually naked again and appears to be building some sort of fort on the floor of Steve’s bedroom, Steve blinks, “the pillow doesn’t matter Eddie.”
Eddie nods decisively, “good.” Then, after a moments thought, “do you have more?” And then he’s back on his hands and knees rearranging his fort, naked ass in the air, like a feral racoon or something.

"No?" Eddie says, feeling kind of like he's floating, maybe even dreaming. He's usually good at subtext, he can read between lines well enough to confidently put most things together. But this was something else entirely, another thing that would rock his entire understanding of the world, surreal to the point where he knows it's not actually going to sink in until Steve says it out loud.

Eddie's staring, and Steve sees how his hand is searching the seat behind himself for the remote, probably to kill the movie, because Steve's being so weird it's making him worried.
He sighs again, breath trembling from stress and he buries his face in his hands. Leg still bouncing in place.
The TV gets turned off and the room fills with silence, and he hears Eddie shuffling around next to him.
"Steve—"
"I have a pussy now."

Steve is still gaping at them. "Eddie." The pause seems to go on forever before he laughs and the tension in Eddie's shoulders visibly melts. "What the fuck, man?"
"Thought I'd come see you, sweetheart. Keep you company while Buckley's gone."
"Ed, it's the middle of the night."
"I know, Steve. This is, uh," Eddie sits up. Plays with a ring. Flaps a hand at Gareth to get him to turn the music down. "A grand romantic gesture, Steve."
