Sirius moved his laptop from where it had been resting on his knees, closer to Remus, so he could see the screen.
'What am I looking at?'
'Him! I found him!'
'Who?'
'Regulus, I found my brother. I've been trying to find him all this year, but no one in the family that I still talk to has heard from him since... well, for a long time, so I thought it was a dead end, but then I put his full name into google, and look what came up!' Sirius squealed, clearly excited.
Remus squinted, 'He's in a band?'

Regulus is completely estranged from his brother, but somehow ends up dating his best friend behind his back. What will happen when Sirius randomly turns up to one of Regulus' gigs, which James is also attending?

Summary
He should be happy. Most people within the guard never get a permanent placing, and are sent off on odd jobs, never straying from the compound for more than a few weeks at a time. James though, would never have to see that decaying place again if he didn't want to. He would be travelling the country, half the world even, on the stipend of the king, and all he had to do in return was make sure that his son didn't die. Easy enough.

Prince Regulus assumed the role of crown prince after his brother was kidnapped by rebels. The crown, desperate to protect its only remaining heir, hires a personal security unit, to guard the prince at all times. That unit just so happens to be James.

"Emperor Slytherin will be hosting a summer long Selection Tournament at Hogwarts Castle. The tournament will include challenges of wit, power and resourcefulness. Whoever the winner may be will become the next Empress."To the Potters this is horrible news, but to Hekate it's her best chance to escape them. Despite being everything her parents should want, they've always chosen her selfish, belligerent sister. “Wake up.” A voice jolted him out of his sleep and he groaned.
“Ugh. Depriving the teenager of his precious beauty sleep. Who are you— Nick Fury?” he grumbled, bringing a pillow up to his eyes for optimal light-blocking.
“It’s noon already.” replied the voice, and Peter buried his head into the pillow and debated letting out a muffled scream.
“Liar.” he replied, before his brain caught up to the fact that the voice was Natasha’s, and that he’d just called the Black Widow a liar. He lifted the pillow, half-expecting a knife hurdling in his direction, to find her staring at him with an arched eyebrow. “I mean— uh. Lire?” he corrected sheepishly. “You know, like the plural form of the word lira, the basic monetary unit of Italy until it was replaced by the Euro in 2002—” he cut himself off, clearing his throat. “Decathlon?”
“I suggest that you’re in the gym for training in three minutes.” she replied coolly.
And, because Peter was apparently an idiot with no self-preservation skills, he responded: “Or what?”
She arched an eyebrow even higher. “Two minutes.” she revised, and then she was gone.
Peter dropped the pillow back on his head and contemplated the merits of suffocation.

He straightened from his crouched position, still firmly holding the trafficker out of the window.
"They warned me about you," he said, accent prominent but it was only fear slurring his words, "they said you were not the same in the night as you are in the day. I laughed at them, told them you were not the Man Without Fear or the Punisher. But you--you are the same!"
Spider-Man just hums softly. He was a vigilante, so, you know, obviously not the poster child for dealing with emotions healthily by any means, so yeah. The comparison was fair in this case. Anger was hard to swallow for people like him, like them. The kind of people who knew that standing aside and hoping the police intervened before things got too bad wasn't an option. Because he knew that when you have power and bad things happen, they happen because of you. Because you didn't stop them.
