He could feel his own anger sitting on the tip of his tongue ready to spit the venom that had been burning him from the insides, it tasted like the same fury that had been eating him alive ever since he’d learned he couldn’t get pregnant.
OR Pregnancy was a tricky thing. It was trickier when you didn’t know you were pregnant and got held hostage. It was the trickiest when your captors find out before you.

He’s sensed Eddie’s lust before - senses it from everyone all the time, which means he knows way more about his co-workers than he ever really wants too - back when Shannon was still around. He’d catch a whiff of it if they slept together before Eddie came into work, but it was dull - flat and boring in comparison to whatever’s going on with him now.
Losing Shannon and then everything else going on immediately after pretty much killed Eddie’s libido where it stood, as far as Buck can tell, but now - a few days after the well collapsed and nearly stole Eddie away from him - his aura is a vibrant shock of red and purple and colors Buck’s never seen before, let alone have names for.
Or- Eddie being buried alive beneath 30ft of mud has some interesting consequences.
