Summary
UA has a rule—no quirkless students. It was added years ago, after much hemming and hawing about safety concerns and lessening blame in the inevitable circumstance of death. There's no real reason to remove it, not as the percentage of quirkless people plummets further and further.
Of course, this rule doesn't actually matter to Izuku, because he's got an analysis quirk.
As far as anyone knows.
The Plan is simple: have a quirk, become a hero, and avoid anyone who could disprove those first two things.
In hindsight, UA isn't a great choice. And that's before the villains.

Summary
The captain—because it must be the captain, there's no other possibility—stops directly before the straggled lines of captives. Black hair frames his angular features, the way his eyes narrow not against the sun but against them: their existence, maybe, or just the existence of all those beneath him.
There is a pause. And then he speaks.
"I am Captain Cazador Szarr of the Eternal," he says. It's a deep, almost melodic voice; too rich for the seadogs and savages that so often fill ships. Even against the better-dressed of his crew, he stands out like a noble in the East End rookeries. "And I am here to meet with your captain, pirates."
The year is 1728, and Astarion Ancunín casts across the Atlantic in hopes of reaching the Caribbean to finally make a name for himself.
He doesn't quite make it there.

Summary
Pro Hero Deku is not that tall of a man… In a simple white t-shirt and khakis, he’s not imposing at all. His 14 year old son, though much scrawnier in frame, is only an inch or two shorter than him.
Pro Hero Deku is not a cruel man. To the contrary, he cares too much, about all things at all times, about everyone and everything he can save if only it could come within his reach. The family counselor knows this. The counselor is surprised that, of all the world’s burdens Deku carries, it would be his family that slipped through his grasp.
Pro Hero Deku’s arms are gnarled and scarred, endlessly broken and re-broken in his youth from trying too much, and caring too much, and fighting too much for the sake of others. So why do they seem so awkward, so unpracticed, so unused to being wrapped in a hug around his son? Why was this boy the last thing for Pro Hero Deku’s arms to reach?
The counselor asks. The raw hurt of the session starts anew.

Summary
The Battle of Starcourt has been won, but its aftershocks are still rippling. Separated from the rest of the Party, Will struggles with feelings of abandonment, while El is trying to find her place with the Byers and come to terms with the loss of her powers - and the closest thing she's ever had to a father. Back in Hawkins, life is slowly returning to normal, or at least as normal as life ever is. The Party are starting to adjust to having two of their members at a distance, though everyone's still missing El and Will, Mike most of all.
But life in Hawkins never stays normal for long. Someone - or something - is following Steve and Robin, and they may not be the only ones under surveillance. A spectre from El's past makes an unexpected - and unwanted - reappearance. And an old enemy may turn out to be much more than meets the eye.
And sometimes, the bad guys are smart, too.
Separated by miles and misunderstandings, with communications failing and their enemies somehow always one step ahead, Hawkins' strange little fellowship find themselves caught between holding on and moving forward. If they want to survive to see another November, they'll have to face the past - and each other.

Zelda blinks. “Sorry?”He doesn’t look away. Funny Link. He doesn’t give up on putting his thoughts into words because he’s bad at public speaking but good at disaster, good at taking things apart, terrible at gluing them back together. Funny Link. He doesn’t breathe. When was the last time he breathed? Should she kiss him?
“It’s not okay, princess,” he says, and he sounds so goddamn sad, she has to stop laughing in her head for five whole minutes. “None of this is okay. Please don’t pretend it is. Please let me help you.”
The first rule of time travel: don't.

Summary
Before Dustin Henderson, Robin Buckley, Interdimensional Monsters, and the world ending, there was Tommy Hagan.
You couldn’t find Steve Harrington without Tommy Hagan trailing behind him. Steve might have been the charm but Tommy Hagan had always been the brains, their eighth grade teacher would later say at Tommy’s funeral.
All Steve could really remember from that day was the way that everyone turned their head around when he had showed up to the chapel late wearing his dad’s suit because he outgrew the ones that he owned. Steve never got the job that his dad had promised him because he messed up so bad with school, so here he was wearing a hand-me-down to his ex best friend’s funeral.
A story about friendships told in a non-linear fashion.
