Space opera AU.
There are many misconceptions regarding space. Namely, that it is quiet. As if there isn't always a faint murmur to be heard if you listen carefully. And yet, there is a grain of truth behind such misconceptions. It can be quiet in space; you simply pray it never will be.
When the Knarr receives a distress call from a ship whose passengers are already lost, ship medic Eirik fears the worst. With their captain, Mathias, insisting on playing the hero, it is up to him to eliminate the threat before it can claim even more lives.

Compilation of oneshots set in the same fantasy au for DenNor Week 2022.
The capital is home to many healers, yet Eirik is the only one who does not care where his patients come from, nor at what time they knock at his door. The capital is also home to many guards. Mathias is one of only a select few that make up the Queen's Guard. With their working hours long and ever-changing, the sparse moments they can actually spend together are all the more precious.
Day 2 - Home: Teenage Eirik often sneaks out to the sewers, much to his entire household's disapproval. This time, he decides to ask his friend Mathias if he wants to accompany him.

This is such a good fic! What I especially love about it is how human everyone feels; like the story would be slightly different if we were shown a different POV (which we see a glimpse of in the final chapter). Merlin’s POV is so well written, and I really like the OC’s in this. 10/10, will read again and again and again
