Klaus’s rescue from Hazel and Cha Cha plays out a little differently. Instead of escaping through the vent and disappearing into the past, Klaus takes the bullet meant for Detective Patch and bleeds out on the motel floor. The thing is, he doesn’t stay dead.
Cue, afterlife epiphanies, surprise revivals, and Diego & Ben being mother hens.

Ed fell, knees connecting harshly with the pavement. He is scrambling to get the knife out of his pocket. It's slapped out of his hand. A fist connects with his face and he's sent, crashing to the pavement. His glasses have flown somewhere out of reach, no doubt cracked or broken. Without a beat of rest, shoes connect with his middle. Kick after kick. Tears and snot are running across his face. A particularly harsh kick lifts him from the pavement, if only for a second before he crashes down again.

When Diego had first seen it, he had thought nothing of it. Klaus had plenty of tattoos- on his back, his hands, his shoulders- this one on his chest was nothing out of the ordinary. Klaus had always seemed to straddle the line between life and death-- embraced it, even. He made jokes of the macabre, dressed in dark clothes, and ringed his eyes in black eyeliner. Klaus had always joked, when they were younger, that he danced with death. He would sweep around the living room, arms around no one, bobbing his head to a tune only he could hear.
This one particular mark, stark and plain over Klaus’ heart, hadn’t seemed anything out of the ordinary-- ordinary for Klaus, anyways.

When Ned told Peter about the Stark Industries field trip he was missing out on whilst in recovery, Peter thought he wouldn't have to worry about it. He assumed he'd be asleep for it, as he was most of the time nowadays, and had forgotten about it quickly. He had more important things to worry about, like his damaged arm, his charred face, and everything else that'd happened in consequence of him snapping Thanos out of existence.
But then he went to the cafeteria with Mr Stark, and saw some unexpected familiar faces.

“Good strategy. I’m right here, go ahead,” Crowley said encouragingly, wondering if he should reach for the angel’s hand. Unfortunately, the angel’s closest hand was gripping cutlery as if it was a lifebuoy. Crowley considered putting his hand on one invitingly touchable thigh instead.
