She had looked at him, eyes wide, but said nothing, just like he knew she would. Yin hadn’t noticed anything, or maybe he had, but it doesn’t really matter now.
Blood seeps onto the floor; knife still embedded in Yin’s back.
“He’s dead,” Yang whispers, fingers still taking his pulse, “He’s dead.”
