But, here in the forest ringing the Hale House, there is certainly a feral human boy and he has certainly bitten Peter.

It’s a ridiculous statement from a ten-year-old, but he’s obviously one hundred percent sincere. For the first time since the fire, Peter feels life stir inside him, feels purpose. It’s kismet, clearly. He’ll never meet the child he would have had with Olivia. Instead he’s met this boy, this brilliant, determined, cynical child with a world of potential.
Peter kneels down in front of him so they’re at eye level. “How do you feel about doing that together?”

It’s unmistakable, and no, Stiles isn’t seeing things or having a delayed-black-eye-concussion-based hallucination. It’s almost instantaneous, the feeling of his blood freezing in his veins, the heaviness in his limbs as if they’re turning to stone. It’s all for the person standing right before him, a face he didn’t think he’d ever see again; not those soft eyes, that wispy brown hair, that crooked jaw.
It can’t be Scott -fucking- McCall standing in his shop on a Tuesday morning, can it? It can’t; they tried so hard to -
“How the fuck did you find me?” He blurts out because Stiles can’t believe his luck and can’t imagine saying anything else.

A time travel fic that makes you want to cry until it makes you laugh. Love the fact there are 4 parts to it. The ending makes it all just that much sweeter.

Laura’s bag is by the front door. Derek doesn’t notice straight away, sleep-fuzzed and squinty in the bright morning light, grunting a pre-verbal greeting at his sister. He pours a bowl of Cheerios and grabs milk and OJ out of the refrigerator, then perches on a stool and is halfway through his cereal before he notices that Laura is fully dressed and, like, blow-dried, which at seven in the morning is highly uncharacteristic. That’s when he notices the bag.

Chaletian always writes these little scenes that are miles away from the usual running for your life drama. But man! They punch you right in the heart!

Man, chaletian can write! The scene with Derek and Peter was, strangely beautiful and emotionally devastating. We get to see glimpses of Peter when he was married, with a child and a pack that he dearly loved and who loved him back. Broke my heart.

He's a senior, still a child according to his sister, but he's tapped to be her right hand, her enforcer. It's his job to know about everyone that could be a potential threat. She calls him paranoid, he calls it practicing. So when a new student comes, the first in a long time (in years really. No one moves to Beacon Hills.), Peter pays attention.

Summary
“Stiles,” Peter’s voice is low, soft but direct. It draws Stiles out from wherever he’d gone, blinking back into the present.
“What.” Stiles looks up at Peter from beneath his lashes. If he had been looking anywhere else, he would have missed the slight twinge in Peter’s face, an eyebrow twitching up, the corners of his mouth tipped in a subtle smirk.
“You seem oddly quiet.”
“I’m focused.”
There’s only one goal in mind, one that doesn’t include sitting around and drinking tea until he gets too lost in his thoughts. There’s no time to dwell on them right now anyway.
“Thanks for the tea,” Stiles clips, standing up and moving to leave.
Peter rounds the island, and again, he catches Stiles by the arm, except Stiles isn’t pulling away now. He’s too tired to fight. “It’s storming outside; there’s no point, it’s not out there.”

The descriptions of Stiles’ emotions - anger, sadness, guilt - made me think about my mom’s recent passing and remember when my father died. The author has captured this all so accurately and so well that I can’t help but think they too have t dbeen touched by grief. I think the intense feelings this fic stirs up is why I hadn’t bookmarked it before; it was a bit too close to the bone.
Peter’s “I don’t need anyone…but I want you.” was just so perfect.

Summary
Peter was self-aware.
Self-aware enough to know that he was a hard person to love. It didn’t come as a surprise, after everything he had done, especially to Scott and his friends, to Stiles, and it was just one of the many truths he had learned to accept.
Which was the reason he was absolutely caught by surprise when he learned the extend of Stiles' feelings for him.

Scott yelped when Stiles' grip tightened, and Stiles could feel how his spark sucked the gift of the bite and the alpha spark right out of Scott. It flowed through him, and Stiles pictured Derek with red eyes, pictured how the power he now held was being transferred to Derek and almost at the same time he could feel how the power was leaving him again, flowing out of him and towards Derek.

Even if this 'damsel in distress' thing isn't a trick, trusting this person with Pack, to be in this house at all, to be healed by his sister and his niece? It's a hard thing to do, to just sit there and watch, to stand vigil until the girl wakes, but he's curious, and he's strong, and he's clever.
If she is a danger, at all, he will be prepared.
Though he still doesn't understand why Talia doesn't just take her to the hospital.
