Summary
The 2 first chapters will introduce Maya and Claudine and respective backgrounds and the story will relate the meeting of the two in another universe and time line than the series. As a French person, I wanted to settle the narration and their meeting in Paris during a period that I am fond of : La Belle Epoque. The characters they meet at the Moulin-Rouge are real, though their personality is a pure creation. I added a few French terms, it's hard to imagine La Goulue speaking English with her "Titi-parisian" accent. I made quite a lot of research and read a lot to be as close as possible to the real Paris in the late 19th century.
