“Hm,” Geralt hums, and kisses him. He keeps it as soft as he knows how, the way both of them can’t deal with, sometimes, and by the time he pulls back, Jaskier’s eyes are a bit damp, but Geralt doesn’t need to panic. He’s learned, by this point, that tears during sex don’t always have to be bad, as long as it’s with Jaskier, and Jaskier smiles wetly up at him and blinks hard. The tears clump his eyelashes, track down his cheeks, and Geralt stares at him a bit longer, before he leans in and kisses him again, and the way Jaskier clutches at him settles something deep inside him. Geralt keeps them there for as long as he can stand it, until Jaskier finally pulls away, his eyes still wet and his smile so tremulous Geralt can barely look at him.
There’s no world in which Jaskier should smile at him like that.
"My dear sweet Witcher,” he whispers, and Geralt can’t look away from him.
Or, Jaskier asks Geralt to shut him up, and they both have a lot of feelings about that.
