There was a tall, blond man outside standing with his back to the door, looking at his feet currently, as if he was searching for something or preparing to leave.
Louis sighed deeply and turned the lock. Who the hell was that? A friend of Antoine’s, or what?
When the door opened quietly, the stranger turned back, tossing his hair aside like a movie star, and stared at Louis, blue eyes wide in a pleasant shock.
Louis stared back blankly.
“Hello.” The man said. “Uh, hi. Hey. Erm, hello. I mean, hi. Good morning. No, good evening, I mean. Bonsoir. I’m your neighbor, je pense. Hi.”
His mysterious neighbor appeared.
And he was… a lot.In other words, so much for an ugly old freak.

Louis meets a new neighbor who happens to have a few issues with his furniture, so he helps, of course.

Summary
“I only love Louis.” Lestat announced clearly and proudly. He stopped suddenly and straightened up with determination. “You go away and fuck off.”
“Lestat, for the sake of the lord…”
“I go home.” Lestat turned on his heel and began to walk backwards, though still in the right direction. Louis’s hand met his mouth, shutting him up in shock. “I needmyLouis.”
“It’s me. I’m standing in front of you. Stop the act.”
“You look very similar.” Lestat agreed cordially, still backing away. Louis blinked and regained the power to walk. Blessing his vampiric speed, he almost grabbed Lestat’s belt. Almost. Something weird happened. Lestat seemed to walk somehow faster. And higher. Higher?
“Lestat, you idiot, you’re floating. Get the fuck down!”
Louis, with mouth widely parted, observed his Lestat, levitating above the pavement, turning around and contemplating perhaps which way to choose. It looked so surreal that Louis almost burst into frantic laughter.
Lestat, apparently oblivious to the fact that he was flying, suddenly stopped mid-air and grimaced.
“I think I'm gonna be sick.”
"Oh, dear."OR
Lestat got so high he didn't recognize his own husband.

"Oh, the way he looked made my knees weak and hands tremble.
He was wearing black, loose sweatpants, hanging low on his hips. A light, cotton long-sleeve greenish blouse with a crazy bone spine imprint on his back rolled up a little, exposing a delicious sliver of a dark skin which I instantly wanted to shower with kisses. His hair was meticulously combed into amazing finger coils, and I felt equally delighted as dreadfully jealous because someone else but me had the privilege to touch his pretty head and soft hair. He kept his ankles folded, and I could see the hems of his white socks peeking out of classic black sneakers."

Louis swallowed and wiped his forehead with relief. Lestat’s face conveyed all the emotions in a flick of a second: joy, disbelief, awe, fear, anger, and, perhaps the realest of them all – pure fury.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” He barked, stepping closer and brushing Louis’s arm harshly. He seemed not to believe his own eyes.
Louis realized he was smiling. God, he missed his unpredictable husband, companion, maker so much.
“Hello, Lestat.” He mumbled. Their small joke once. He almost expected Lestat to say ‘Hello, Louis’ back. But no. Oh, well.

“We did it.” Lestat said with a spark in his shining blue eyes. “We really did it. We’re in Paris. It’s Paris, Nicki!” He looked as if he were stopping himself from shouting out loud.
“We’re in your Paris for two weeks. It’s not any milestone.” Nicki dismissively shrugged his shoulders, but a warm smile stayed on his lips. His gaze didn’t move from Lestat’s delighted face for a second.
“But two weeks ago we didn’t have a sensible job and a stable place to sleep and eat.” Lestat pointed, cocking his head. He grinned and made a happy twirl. “And now look! We have real jobs! You and me. This place is ours to live in! We have a room with two beds, a funny haunting closet over there-” He showed a dark, crooked, wooden monster standing in the opposite corner of the room with an askew door. “There’s even a table and a counter! We’re better than the royals, for sure.”or
Lestat and Nicki reached Paris at last, but there's one thing they haven't done yet...

Summary

What begins as a mock offer to “educate” Lestat in Spanish. — a nobleman’s joke — becomes something else, something that has Lestat questioning everything he thinks he knows, and changing the way he perceives eternity.Lestat hates Louis.
