Summary
Picking up the next morning after the events of chapter 4, the tale of DELTARUNE continues on the day of the Festival! As Hometown swings into gear on the day of the opening ceremony, Asriel comes home as well! Between his arrival and Susie's promise to take Noelle to enjoy the festivities, the day promises to be one they'll never forget.
However, there will be some speed bumps along the road. Father Alvin has gone missing, Carol's Ice Queen behavior is proving to be a major obstacle, and another Dark World will be opened up for the Fun Gang to deal with. Between all of these developments is the need to obtain the Shelter codes, keep others from discovering the Dark Worlds, and stopping the Roaring Knight from accomplishing their goals.
What the heroes don't know is the Knight isn't working alone. As the enemy makes their move, the picture will start to come together... and in its wake, a picture begins to take shape. One that is growing Darker Yet Darker as the story moves towards its ultimate conclusion. Not all is known about the shape of the ending, but one thing is for sure: You won't want to miss what happens next.

Eyes blearily blinked open to meet his own. An unreal, glittering darkness. Brown and purple and red, like garnet, though it was hard to tell exactly what color they were through the red glass of his mask. Akira stared down at him, nearly giddy with relief. Murderer or not, a small part of his teenage brain was thrilled at the chance to play savior with a cute boy in his arms.
He had to say something cool. Joker would say something cool. So he put on a grin that he hoped looked suave and not leery, and raised an eyebrow as he said, “Come here often?”

Two years after a public panic attack forced him to abandon his title as a shogi prodigy and a lucrative career, Akira Kurusu is suffocating under his parents' debt, balancing multiple part-time jobs, and barely clinging to his university enrollment. When forced to join an extracurricular to maintain his scholarship, Akira is forced to enter the Chess Association, a fake club Debate Prince Goro Akechi concocted to give himself a private club room.
After being evicted from his apartment, Akira is assigned to dorm with Goro Akechi, and are forced to learn how to tolerate one another!
