During an adventure , Pomni and Jax are paired together for a grocery run for Caine’s “Surprise Banquet of Mild Peril.” Their constant arguing over brands and product choices quickly escalates when Zooble casually points out that they sound like a married couple. Flustered and defensive, they lean fully into the role, performing an obnoxiously affectionate “married” routine.

It was only one game of Blackjack and yet she felt like her heart was going to race straight out of her body. It was exhilarating, and Jax was fun to play with. Most dealers seemed out of grasp, but this felt human. As if the world had disappeared and only their game remained.
“You think I don’t have what it takes or something?” She egged, secretly hoping he’d return the banter. She kind of craved it lately. He didn’t see her as a child, but he didn’t take her seriously either. The middle ground they danced within was restricting and enticing.She didn’t need to prove herself to him, but she wanted to.
“I think you’re in over your head.”
TLDR; Pomni picks up a gambling addiction but is pretty good at it. Jax is a card dealer :D

Summary
Three years after inexplicably escaping the digital circus, Christine (Pomni) struggles to feel alive again. After returning to urban exploring but finding no thrill in the activity, she finds another, more bold idea. Having long given up on finding her friends from the circus, she was absolutely floored to have found Felix (Jax) in the most unexpected of places. Christine constructs a plan to investigate what happened to them, desperate for closure, but the only person who might be able to help her is dead-set on denying their past.

"It's the mold," Felix mutters to himself disbelievingly, voice muffled. "It's the fucking mold."
… Mold?
Finally, he draws his head out of his hands and deadpans, "You wouldn't happen to be Zooble, now would you?"
"Oh my god," Christine says. "Please tell me you're kidding, Jax. Felix."
A smile splits his face, something surprisingly genuine. "Pomni," he says. "You goddamned clown." He stands up and gestures she do the same, folds his arms, and looks down his nose at her. "Funny that you're just as short in real life, eh?"
Christine jabs him in the arm. "Yeah? Well, you're just as much of a prick in real life, it seems."
or: after the show unceremoniously ends, pomni finds herself stuck with jax in the real world — and surprisingly, finds herself not minding it so much.
