Summary
Following the events of the Fellowship breaking, Luffy and Zoro continue on their quest towards Mordor in hopes of destroying the One Ring. However, danger and no shortage of strange companions seem to find them at every turn, and while Luffy and Zoro begin to explore a newer faucet of their relationship, the effects of the One Ring begin to wear on the young hobbit.
Meanwhile Shanks, now awake and on the mend, bears witnesses to the horrors Shiki the Gold has bred in the depths of Isengard, giving rise to an army with the singular purpose of eradicating mankind. Left with no other option than to embrace his lineage and lead the realm of men, Shanks undertakes the arduous challenge of standing against the dark forces of Middle Earth not as a ranger in the shadows, but as the returning king.
