"Hey," he jerked his head to the plate again. "Come on, you need to eat. You've had nothing today, you need food, any food. Cheat day."
"Hm?" Shane asked, seemingly confused by Ilya's concern. He looked between the two plates, "oh, right. Yeah I know, don't worry," he fixed Ilya with a small smile. "I'm fucking starving and I know it, I was just think how happy I was to be annoyed with you."
"Oh?" In truth, Shane did seem to make a hobby of being annoyed with Ilya, so this wasn't out of the ordinary.
"Yeah. I was watching to drown your food in cheese and ignore the salad and I was thinking 'that man is going to go an entire day without touching a single vegetable and then whine to me that he feels shitty and sluggish.' And I was just so happy to be able to think that again, you know? I was wondering how to sneak some spinach on your plate and I was suddenly just so happy that it was something I got to try and figure out again."
