“Mordred, right?” Arthur asked, kneeling in front of him. The boy nodded, eyes wide as he looked at Arthur as if he might bolt at any moment. “What are you doing back in Camelot? My father won’t like seeing you again.”
“He’s hurt.” Mordred whispered and Arthur glanced over at where Merlin was unconscious. A sudden realization dawned on him.
“You healed him,” He said slowly “With magic.”
Mordred nodded. Arthur’s mind raced – thinking of all Merlin had survived in his encounters with bandits and sorcerers. Before he could ask if Mordred had been responsible for all of it, there was a groan as Merlin shifted, eyes flickering open.
“Arth – you!” He choked, sitting up quickly to grab Arthur’s arm as if he could yank the prince away. Mordred grinned.
“You’re awake!” He beamed and launched forward to hug him. Arthur watched as Merlin stiffened at the action – eyes widening before desperately trying to push him away.
“Arthur. Arthur, get him off of me-”

After sneaking Mordred out of Camelot, he occasionally returns to make sure Merlin is doing okay. Arthur isn’t sure why this child is so concerned about the wellbeing of his servant… Nor Merlin's vehement attempts to ignore it.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” a frown pulls at Albedo’s mouth; one of faint annoyance and painful internal struggle. “Anyone in their right mind would turn down such an offer. He doesn’t even know me.”
“Well, I don’t know how to tell you this, buddy,” not your buddy, Albedo echoes, because while he’s familiar with Kaeya Alberich, he barely tolerates the man at times, “but if you ever find it in yourself to get your adorable button nose out of that sketchbook and point it towards the table over there, you might find that you’ve sorely miscalculated.”
True to his word, the golden-haired boy is looking their way.
Albedo prides himself for his ability to stay aloof; however, it might take a single accidental meeting to permanently alter that course of thought.

Summary
NAGISA has been through a lot with Hiromi and her mental instability, and last year he lost his only friend that he could ever fall back on. Losing that trust and having no one else who could help him with his situation, he closed himself off and finally took some of his "mothers" advice. He muted himself and promised himself to try and keep his mouth shut for as long as he was stuck in Hiromi's grasp.
KARMA cut off his friendship with Nagisa to appease his instinctual need to get away from something as dangerous as Nagisa, or whatever was cultivating inside of him. Realizing too late after cutting off their friendship, Karma worried about Nagisa and his life at home. Trying to talk with Nagisa and get their friendship back backfired quickly and left him with more worries and fears as Nagisa left him with a written threat to keep quiet about his mother and not a single sound out of the already quiet blue haired boy.
