Summary
Damian Wayne and Jonathan Samuel Kent are approaching that young but important monument in their adolescent lives. The future dynamic duo is finally old enough to be part of a real superhero team like Young Justice, or the Titans, or maybe even the Justice League! Well... At least they thought they were since they planned to join one together, but the more they think about it, the less appealing it sounds. The two don’t want to be defined as the sons of someone super.
The only solution is to start their own superhero team! Fighting bad guys is no problem, but figuring out a public image, interpersonal issues, equipment maintenance, transportation, politics, financial control, and time management are an entirely different story. When did being a hero get so complicated?

OMG I LITERALLY LOVE THIS FIC IT HAS MY HEART AND SOUL. i love damijon's progression throughout and how they literally act like a couple while they claim to be friends. It's literally so funny. And sometimes people try to call them out on their bullshit, and nearly everyone's suprised at the affection between the two when they see them interacting for the first time, but damijon's just oblivious. ATP everyone just acts like it's normal.
So far this bookmark's made it seem like this fic is all about romance, but it's not really. It's a lot more about the super sons' journey as child heroes and their growth as people. Their relationship development just adds to that/is a part of that. This fic has the perfect combo of fluff, angst, humor, and political/social commentary.
Oh yeah, that's a big thing. If you don't wanna read about the horrors of our world - and specifically the horrors of the US gov. and culture - in a fictional setting and use that to cope with everything, then this isn't for you.
This reads like a TV show in the best way possible. And this is exactly the typa thing I wish DC would give us (like show/movie-wise). Lots of focus on character growth rather than just action for the sake of action. And lots of references to comic canon! It's so wonderful!
I would like to note though that it's not really canon compliant in terms of Damian and Jon. Idk how much the summary says, and I don't wanna spoil anything, but Damian and Jon aren't Robin and Superboy and their hero identities are totally seperate from the Bat and Super families. Also, Jon's powers work differently than in canon.
Overall, this is literally so amazing and undoubtedly the best Damijon fanfic I've read! It's also so underrated! It deserves so many more kudos and hits. I would literally recommend this to anyone and everyone who's into superhero stuff to read, even if you're not a Damijon fan, or even a DC fan at all

Things felt like they were shifting and changing, their relationship taking on a different feel, possibly blossoming for one. This one did happen to have a crush on the other. Ratio has never taken any real interest in anyone else. never going farther than their name to be formal.
And then Aventurine comes along and Ratio's world gets flipped right off the bat. Cracking the walls around his heart with one stroke.
And so with barely any plan and some connections, he tries to get the man to go out with him.
Or, Ratio is swooning, in denial of that fact, and everyone wants nothing more than for Aventurine & Ratio to fall in love already.

Aventurine was not the type to go on dates. In his entire life, he had gone on maybe 3, but they had all been half-assed prerequisites to one-night stands. A business dinner? He could do it in his sleep. A dinner date? He was completely hopeless. That had been completely fine, up until he developed a hopeless crush on one Veritas Ratio, which turned out not to be so hopeless after all.
