Perhaps one of the most damning questions that wrings joy from our grasp is: "Do I deserve it?"
This has long been the case for Adrian A. Knight, who has tripped and stumbled through life and recently into the hands of Weyland-Yutani. While work for such an employer was already questionable, his work as a commando was even more so. While he had thought being transferred to a new unit would have been good for him, this cadre and their objective to contain an Internecivus Raptus outbreak will serve only as a bed of tinder for his already volatile state of mind.
Little does Adrian know, the fire has already ignited—it had a long time ago. But now, as he finds himself the host of new life, that tinder will only fuel this blaze, growing, to engulf him. And She will be all he can perceive in the fields of his mind, dancing, as the rest of it burns.

Summary
In the year of 2050 the world is a very different place. The ground-breaking technology known as the Neural Interface Implant has allowed for humanity to modify their forms extensively, cybernetics are incredibly prevalent in almost all of modern society.
James, is a peculiarity in this world, due to a genetic medical condition his body rejects any attempts at integrating cybernetics. As a result he's always felt a little separated from the rest of society. He isn't ostracized or treated poorly, he's just... different. How different exactly he's about to discover, as after a night of drinking with his friends he gets pulled into something he is not ready for.
Waking up in an alleyway with a voice claiming to be the worlds first true artificial intelligence can't be a fun experience after all. James must adapt to life sharing that thick skull of his whilst trying to avoid the creators of his new friend. As they seek to reclaim what has been implanted into him, and he's a loose end to tie.
Can James and his new friend beat a megacorporation hell bent on reclaiming what was once theirs? Whatever the outcome, James is certain to learn more about artificial intelligence than any human before him.
