Summary
Shen Yuan is the wealthy yet neglected product of a Lord's first marriage. Spending his days holed up in his room, reading trashy novels and throwing around money as if it was meaningless, it was hard to think of himself as anything but a waste of space. One whose father would eventually tire of.
In Luo Binghe's eyes, he's everything. Deserves everything. The one who saved his from dying in an alleyway after the death of his adoptive mother. He resents the world, for how it treats him and how it treats Shen Yuan. His only wish is to remain by Shen Yuan's side forever, to provide some form of company, in whatever way is fine, to the lonely boy he falls in love with.Of course, the world they live in is also one plagued by demons. One where children are scared into obedience by stories of demons coming to eat their thumbs. Where the eradication demons is considered not only a sport, but a duty of those in power by the world.
Oh well, if the world thinks it can get in the way of Luo Binghe's one desire, it's welcome to try.

There were rumours, that there was demon on Qing Jing Peak.
Lou Binghe didn’t believe them, not at first.But then, that nameless demon of Qing Jing Peak had saved him.
A warmth in his darkening life comparable to no other, Binghe only wants to be able to grow strong enough to protect his saviour. Strong enough to fight his Shizun and save the demon from his prison. Strong enough to ensure they could stay together for ever, that he could hold onto and nurture that warmth to his hearts content.
It's only, something seems to always be in the way.
