Summary
After the passing of his father Luka decided to carry on his father's dream, him always talking about to find 'The Ultimate Uma Musume'. To be able to do that he first needs to of course become a trainer. Director Akikawa has thrusted him into an established team, all so he can be evaluated and hone his skills. And while he is a bit skeptical about the trainer at first he sees the Umas training their hardest... All but one.
Meet Gold Ship, the probably most eccentric Uma around. She barely trains and does what she wants, let alone how she speaks sometimes... Needless to say Luka is not really impressed by her and it's no secret that she is a total slacker. However, even he has to come to realize the hidden genius of Gold Ship, learning just how capable she truly is. She could become the ultimate Uma! She just never feels like trying. Instead she rather spends her time messing with the trainer assistant however she pleases.
What a cheeky brat! Unfortunately she can be quiet cute too... No matter what, Gold Ship just always has the upper hand. After all, not even Luka can resist (as hard as he tries).

Trainers. The vital partners who support those dazzling dreams. Also: long-suffering souls tasked with preventing suicide via training exhaustion, teaching basic common sense, and defending their own human rights from girls who could shoulder-check them into another prefecture.
Yet somehow, the bonds they share are real. Each varies, sometimes like mentor and pupil, sometimes like family, and often… dangerously close to developing rom-coms or full-blown romance.
So, when their Uma Musume inevitably does something unhinged, what can a Trainer do?
Be the stern adult? The exasperated straight man praying for divine intervention?
…Or just get dumber in return.
This is a collection of short stories — of those bonds and such nonsense that unfolds when the world’s most powerful girls meet the only people brave (dumb) enough to try and guide them.
