He had gone to sleep with the full expectation that he could rest. When he woke up as the last son of a noble family in the Emperor's court, he knew that wasn't going to happen any time soon.
When he finds out that he's been born into a famous xianxia novel, he's resigned. When he figures out what exactly the novel is… now, he's pissed off.
All he wanted was nonexistence. Now he's faced with being alive, glorified magic bullshit, and a depressing lack of logic. At least the people are pretty to look at.

Hatake Kakashi opens his eyes to find himself kneeling over his father's still-warm body, hands sticky with blood. He is 6 years old.
He doesn't know how it is he has traveled 30 years into the past, but he isn't questioning it. It's just a new facet of life - he was once 36, he is now 6, and he is going to save Konoha from the terrible original fate that had befallen it.
Or he will die trying.

A fic in response to 'Chapter 166: Brain Worm!!!' from Sanctified_Jasper's Untamed Plot Bunny Horde.
Nie Mingjue, after an absolutely terrible week, can't help but thank the ancestors that he promoted Meng Yao to his personal aide. Without him, there would be no doubt that this week would have been an absolute disaster. With Meng Yao, he's managed to get on top of it.
And he tells Meng Yao so, thanking him for his effort and hard work.
The only problem is that Meng Yao acts like Nie Mingjue has never thanked him before. Surely that can't be true? Can it?
And that is when Nie Mingjue learns that he and Meng Yao express things in very different ways.

A fic in response to 'Chapter 45: Meng Yao would make an amazing prostitute' from Sanctified_Jasper's Untamed Plot Bunny Horde.
Meng Yao didn't go undercover with then Wens, instead he stayed with Xichen. Because "reasons", after meeting back up with everyone, 3zun (who aren't yet 3zun) go on a scouting trip into Wen territory. Because the Wen army is so thick on the ground the trio ends up renting an empty room at a brothel.
Wen soldiers show up for an 'inspection' and Meng Yao just barely manages to hide Lan Xichen and Nie Mingjue inside the closet, leaving him out. Meng Yao is summarily forced to deflect the soldiers, and Mingjue and Xichen deal with the realisation that Meng Yao may not have been just a prostitute's son, but a prostitute himself.

Kaneko Aki wasn't always named that way. In fact, they weren't even originally Japanese. But after dying at the age of 27 in a hit-and-run, they were sent to meet with Fate, who had an interesting proposition for them. As an apology for dying so early, and in such a traumatic way, Fate offered to put them in a different universe.
They would be a fool to pass that offer up, so they quickly agreed. It was a deal. There were just two simple rules.
1. They couldn't tell anybody about Fate's deal.
2. Fate got to choose where they were placed, and there would be no arguments.
Pleased with the rules, they accepted. 10 minutes later, they were really regretting Rule 2 - it turned out that Fate had gotten them reborn in the BNHA universe. When Aki got their hands on Fate, they were going to wring the deity's neck.
Now, it was up to them to survive, make sure that the main characters survived, and avoid suspicion from an overgrown stoat.
They had thought school would be their hardest obstacle to overcome. They certainly weren't expecting this.

I've gone through a lot over the years. Neglectful, borderline abusive parents, instable relationships, and intense loneliness (that also comes with a side of touch starvation). But I managed to make a life for myself. I may not have been happy, but I was content. I had a job, doing what I liked. So when I died (in a hugely unfair way, might I add), I wasn't particularly thrilled, but there really wasn't much I could do about it.
And then I was reincarnated.
I had plans. Big plans, involving stability and happiness and peace.
Of course, that was when I found out I had been born into the Naruto-verse.

Alex Rider is tired. So, so, very tired. He's lived to 26, which is honestly longer than he'd expected to live. He's traveled the world, learned more things than any other human on the planet, and he's just floating through life, still working for MI6.

He's been sent there by the Trio, which are Death, Life and Fate. They've given him the chance to go back and try again, saying that his life shouldn't have ended the way it did.
But Alex isn't exactly focused on that, though he knows he should be. Jack is alive. Ian is alive. Everybody is younger, and alive.

All his life, Tony hid behind a fortress of lies and deceptions, walls and masks. Masks made of concealer and heavy sweaters to make sure the blood seeping out from his bandages, as a result of his lashings, don't show. His masks have been tried and tested, proving to hold up strong.
So when the people at his new high school, Shield High, start seeing through them, he's not sure what to think, as they know how broken and fucking lonely he is.
And as the most vulnerable parts of him start showing, he's not sure he wants to hide anymore.
