Summary
Phoenix is young, 26, and while she is the most precious person by his side, she's just about it. Trucy loves her father very much and is happy to see him all the time, but maybe he needs a social life instead of new paintbrushes and paints every other month. It's time he went out and got a job-one that's more social than a reclusive painter, so that's what he does.
Looking back at his life, man! He doesn't know what he would do if he hadn't pushed himself the bunch of people who changed his life and made it a trillion times more interesting!

Summary
The king has always said that having a knight around to protect you is a sign of weakness. That’s why the most skilled knight around, although technically assigned to guard the prince, has the easiest job in the castle: get lost, literally. He is hired because the king wants to HAVE the most skilled fighter in his possession, though he certainly will not have him seen protecting the prince. It is a necessity that the prince believes he will always have to defend himself.
Still, if anything bad happens to the Prince, it’s Sir Phoenix Wright’s head.
Incidentally, the knight is the most charming man the prince has ever met (despite their constant bickering, especially the nickname ‘princess’ which, unfortunately, DOES THINGS to the prince) and he keeps wishing to meet him again. Somehow, the knight is really good at slipping through the prince’s fingers, yet the moment he gives up search, there he is to pester him again.
Over time the prince grows colder, and the knight shows himself more and more often, as he feels less inclined to follow orders and instead aims to warm the prince’s heart yet again.

Instead of Edgeworth giving Phoenix the worst idea imaginable by poor communication and a few misleading words on a spare napkin, he actually writes a letter! And talks to him! And says goodbye properly!
Wow, communication really is key :)This is set before Edgeworth leaves for Europe, after the DL6 case. There are a few days in between, and in this au Edgeworth tells Phoenix beforehand. He also gets back before the Engarde case so Maya is all fine and dandy ^0^
