Summary
His employees are avoiding him and Vox isn’t sure if he’s ready to fuck or fight, but he knows his night is going to end in one of those ways. He’s not understated this time when he marches back to the bar. He’s in his full suit, no downcast eyes or subtlety as he stomps through the cracked doors. It’s as dingy and smoke-filled as always, but the crowd is thin. It’s early for the pleasure district, but his eyes easily find the set of familiar red wings.
“You stole my wallet.” Vox growls, flashing across the club. Valentino is taken off guard, but he recovers quickly, his shoulders relaxing.
“There you are, and stole is such a harsh word. I borrowed your wallet. I had to make sure you come back, Carino.” Valentino reaches into his coat and pulls out Vox’s silver metal wallet. He flips it once, catches it, then sets it on the bar top. “Have a drink.”
“Are you going to buy me a drink with my own money?” Vox sneers.
Or Valentino has an offer for Vox and an interesting way of vetting new partners.

“It’s been three months Val. If he hasn’t learned his lesson by now, he never will. And like I said, we will keep him in check. But I can’t look at fucking spreadsheet anymore alright? So you either talk to him, or you’ll have to do my work too!”
“You already talked to him, why do I need to do it too?” he huffed, wrapping his wings tighter around himself, blowing off more smoke around the room. Velvette remained quiet for a moment, and Valentino waited, staring at the windows in his room.
“He told me he’s only doing it if I convince you to talk to him”

Three months after the battle, Vel and Val are tired of working double time to cover for Vox, so, they decide enough is enough.
Expect Vox sucks in apologizing, and things go overboard quicker than they could ever imagine.

“Damnit!” Valentino whines around the cigarette in his mouth. His lighter must've fallen out of his pocket. “Ugghhh—”
One of these fucks in here has to have one. Maybe he'll make daddy a little money too. Valentino leans around the entrance to survey his crowd.
It's late in a quiet old part of town. He'll be surprised if any of their dicks still work.
Valentino squeaks again before his eyes lock onto someone sitting at the bar. He watches an arc of electricity travel up the antennas on his boxy TV head.

Summary
Vox is well known in Cannibal Town. Since his fall he’s been selling pieces of himself for Rosie’s protection. He’s an acquired taste but his regulars are quite protective. Valentino is known as a bit of a troublemaker around town and so when Vox gets an order he chooses not to fill it. The same evening he attends a cabaret show with Alastor and meets the most gorgeous moth sinner on stage, with a few drinks and cajoling from Alastor, Vox sneaks backstage. It starts with one bite and leads to much because neither of them can resist.
