Summary
Bruce is late into the sixth month of his accidental pregnancy with Clark’s pup. Having gone most of his Omega years believing himself to be infertile, he and Clark were never careful when they shared their respective heats and ruts together. But something had shifted in Bruce’s biology, be it fate or Clark’s own alien biology, whatever it was, Bruce was now pregnant, and he wasn’t enjoying it.
He loved being pregnant with Clark’s pup, but he longed to not wake up in pain. Humans were never designed to carry Kryptonians, and Bruce was learning that first-hand. Between his morning sickness, his spasming back, his mood shifts, Clark’s new overprotective nature and the heavy pup, Bruce was miserable. The months of pain and suffering had been weighing heavily on him, and one bad day caused it all to come crashing down.

Clark has been struggling with keeping his famous positive mindset. Maybe too much has happened, maybe he's become too hardened. Maybe that Captain Marvel guy shouldn't be taking up all of Batman's attention.
Meanwhile, Bruce is just wondering why he has the urge to adopt a thirty-something superhero.
Set in Season 1, Episode 20, "Clash" of Justice League Unlimited. A canon divergence fic where Superman doesn't destroy a city for the less fortunate, learns to handle his emotions, and Captain Marvel has no reason to quit the Justice League. (Seriously, wtf was that episode. I needed to write a happy ending version.)
