Summary
He knows the rules of course. They aren’t supposed to have any sort of relationship beyond allies or tentative friends. Scott’s advisors look down on his smaller and ‘less developed’ empire and are incredibly strict about traditions and what-not, Jimmy’s not really sure, he zoned out while it was being explained. The Cod Council on the other hand are wary of the secretive elves and distrust the alliances Rivendell has with their enemies. This means that despite whatever the two feel for each other, feelings borne from featherlight touches, secret smiles and a cave tucked away inside a mountain nothing can be, at least not easily.
Despite all of that and more Jimmy is still on his way to Rivendell to ask the Elvenking to visit the Cod empire. Which is very much not a date if anyone asks and very much was a date when he planned it.

Gem watches as the clock ticks over to four am. It’s been three weeks since she and Scott got rescued from Xornoth’s clutches and besides the sixteen hours straight she slept after being rescued, she’s barely gotten any rest. Sometimes it’s her own fault she doesn’t sleep. Gem is no use to anyone fast asleep. A far better use of her time is figuring out how to stop Xornoth. She’s so close to finding a solution, any second wasted is selfish. The only one who can fix this is her and she refuses to stand by and let people suffer as the demon terrorizes them.

Scar is being watched. It’s been happening for a while now, at least a few weeks. He’ll be working on his plane, collecting materials, or completing any other mundane task when the hairs on the back of his neck will begin to prickle. He’ll turn around only to see nothing but trees and the occasional startled animal. Yet despite the lack of proof, he’s certain someone has been spying on him.
The real issue is that he doesn’t know what to do about it.
WhateverWhoever is watching him always manages to stay just out of sight. He’s tried setting up cameras but all they ever catch is a dark blob of movement disappearing behind a tree. Nothing has been stolen, he hasn’t been attacked only… observed. -

The Foxes were used to weird shit happening. Vandalism they understood. A five-foot goal keeper, why not? A teammate murdering someone with their own racquet? Makes sense, but mysterious donor paying off their bills and buying them things? Now, that was weird.
