Summary
Joker had been too busy to spend much time with him. The clown had had his fun, sure. But nothing Dick was unable to suffer through until help came. Nothing broken. Only a few new scars. The drive back to the manor was tense and silent. A few stitches later and some painkillers later, he was sent off to get some food and rest.
“…so fucking…” Jason’s voice is muffled against Dick’s shoulder, almost too much to hear. “-ing to lose you.”
“I’m okay, little wing,” he repeats. Soft. Jason needs soft right now. The pieces of him are fragile, delicately slotted together. Every sharp edge and crack vibrant. Kintsugi scars. Dick traces one of them, the one that tracks through his hairline.
