Summary
Jimin looks different. He’s lost weight but also gained muscle, his body shaped like a true dancer’s body, one that Taehyung recognizes from Jungkook and his classmates, clad in dark leggings and an oversized shirt. And his face. It’s lost all his baby fat, those cheeks that Taehyung used to cup in his hands.
Instead, his jaw is sharp and the plumpness of his lips are more accentuated. His hair is blonde, another reason Taehyung feels like he might be dreaming. It’s so different from the inky black hair Jimin used to sport that he can almost trick himself into believing this is another person, Jimin’s doppelganger maybe, but not his Jimin. Not his.
But then Jungkook says something that makes Jimin laugh, and before he brings his hand up to his mouth and before his body bends in two, his eyes shift to crescent moons and his lips spread wide in joy and no, it’s him. It’s him.

Jimin and Taehyung are inseparable as childhood friends, but things fall apart when Jimin moves overseas for university. Two years later, Taehyung has to confront the ghost of his past friendship when Jimin moves home and transfers to his school.
