Halsin smiled softly at him, only to frown when Zevlor broke down into a coughing fit, mucus-heavy and painful in his chest as he wheezed for a steady breath of air. When Zevlor looked up, Halsin was already by his side, a steady hand on his back and a cup of warm water held up near his mouth.
