Summary

Luffy is taken from High Town and delivered to the Holy Land of Mariejois, where he spends the next five years of his life fighting for the entertainment of the Tenryuubito. With nothing but his old straw hat and a handful of promises, he holds on to the hope he'll see the open seas once more. When he is finally granted a chance to escape, the only place left for him to go is forward.
Complete canon rewrite featuring Luffy as a former slave and what that means in the face of his quest for ultimate freedom. Loosely follows the timeline of canon but reimagines each arc.

Summary
Monkey D. Luffy wanted freedom and adventure. That didn't mean she had to be a pirate to get it. There were many mean pirates around and she didn’t like the idea of people thinking she was mean and having annoying marines like Gramps trying to catch her. Life would be much more fun if she really could do whatever she wanted.Especially if she could also get some treasure every time she caught a bad pirate on her way to the end of the world.
