Summary
In the morning of July 25th, 1989, was the day an eleven-year-old received his Hogwarts letter, his light to a dark home. Yet, despite his name being William Rayleigh, he found the letter addressed to Willow Avelorue, the name he possessed before being adopted by the Rayleighs.
After running away, he meets Tom who takes him in until the school year starts and while waiting, he meets a pair of twins that sends flutters in his stomach. They become friends.
Until Willow wishes they hadn't, for it would the last day he'll ever see a day without trouble.

Summary
Nick Carraway, instead of staying with Tom and Jordan during that disastrous outing they had, chose instead to leave early with Gatsby and Daisy that day. Fortunately he did, managing to wrench the steering wheel to swerve the car away from hitting Myrtle.
Unfortunately for Nick, seat belts were not yet implemented in his era. As a result, he was flung out of the vehicle.
Follow Gatsby as he takes responsibility for Nick when no one else was willing to, taking him in and caring for him as he recovers. When Nick finally wakes, Gatsby discovers he has no memory of the incident.
Or of anything at all.

There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.
