Jordan stayed quiet, watching him, then frowned, far less discreetly than their mother ever would. When he finally seemed ready to speak, he stopped, hesitating, as if carefully weighing his next words.
“You’ll come to me, right? If there’s something wrong, I mean.”
He was messing everything up.
“…yeah. Yeah, sure. But you shouldn’t even have to worry about it, I’m fine.”

Damian Wayne was raised to be perfect in every sense of the word. That was expected of him the moment he began training. So, late one night after patrol, when his brothers tease his slight Arab accent, he thinks there's something wrong with him. Suddenly aware and growing insecure of his accent leads him to grow insecure of his skin, leading him to grow insecure of his weight, leading him down a spiral. He needs to be perfect. He will do everything in his power to be perfect, as to not bring shame onto his family name. He will be perfect, even if it destroys him.
