She smiles in return, slowly like she’s savouring it. And, he thinks, maybe she’s doing that. Maybe she’s tasting the memories they’re making right now. The memories they’re about to make and the ones they won’t make.

Eddie’s been kind of different lately—nothing Steve can really put his finger on, but not exactly himself. Steve figures he’s missing the guys from his band, or something. Whatever it is, Steve feels bad about it. It will be nice to do something to cheer Eddie up, so Steve, Robin, Nancy and Eddie go bowling. And then Steve figures some things out with the help of a stray comment from Robin and a stuffed toy bat.
Across the table, Robin makes a strangled noise and says, “Holy shit,” eyes wide.
Steve clears his throat. “What?”
“I can’t believe I didn’t see it.”
Steve folds his arms over his stomach and Eddie sobers, setting the bat on the table and poking at his food.
Nancy’s brow furrows and she says, “See what?”

Or, the author saw a post on tumblr that said that servants slept next to their lord's bed when visiting other castles and she couldn't resist writing about it.

And Dean, still dazed, still asleep, still whirling in confusion, wanted to sob. Because if the djinn really wanted to get him, really wanted to drain his entire life away while he lived in a blissful reality, this was how to do it. But it was torture all the same. Because Cas, his Cas, would never.
“You aren’t real,” he muttered.
Cas turned back to him, a soft smile on his face. And it looked so real. It wasn’t like the smiles Lucifer had faked, all teeth and no eyes. It was small, the corners of his lips barely turned up and his eyes crinkled.
“Do you care, Dean?” he said, his voice gravelly and his eyes intense as the smile faded.
