New York was suffering the worst storm it had for a while now. Hurricanes touched down at sea with earthquakes following. Evacuation notices were sent to coastal areas.
Those on long island questioned what had upset the gods. They sent extra offerings to please anyone they may have offended.One little bubble remained unaffected. A hospital safe from the storms raging across the area. Whispers passed down the hall by word of mouth of the little boy in room 118. Perhaps it was the way his hair seemed blue in the hospital light or that his nails seemed too sharp for normal.
A trick of the light they said. An illusion, not real. The pipes creaked in laughter, a drop of water from the tap fell into the room's sink. It shaped into something almost human. A god. Ancient and old, powerful and wild.
