Summary
In this AU, all of the toons are alive and (mostly) well, but there's still the twisted versions of themselves present. Basically Delilah made clones of the characters and kept them locked up in the basement or something, and during Gardenview's shutdown, they went insane and bing bang boom twisteds.
Also, the toons and their twisted counterparts have this mental connection, where when a toon comes into contact with their twisted, its thoughts will reflect their own insecurities towards them. (Ex: Shelly would hear Twisted Shelly's growls as shouts of frustration from her own loneliness)
With where I am at the time of writing this, the story is through Shelly's perspective. However, this will change as I keep adding on. I mostly plan on doing Main POVs, but I might include other characters as well. -

Summary
It’s been at least a month since Gardenview was shut down and the toons got trapped inside. They were forced to take the elevator through all the floors of the building to find resources, complete machines, and survive. They made a stable system out of this. Most cheerful and kind toons stayed positive, trying to keep the mood up.
After an unfortunate death…it was hard to keep that optimism. Team spirit is going down and fear of loss might take over. They don’t know how much longer this system will stay stable. Much less their own mental states.
On one fateful day, Poppy and Boxten go on a duo run and reach the warehouse. They find a peculiar toon who is laid on the floor, unconscious. He looked exactly like Boxten. Just…Pastel and with gold butterflies. They take him up to the lobby and into the toon rooms.
A defensive Sprout reluctantly lets them carry him in by their persistence. After all, that “toon” might prove to be more useful than one could imagine.

The Dandy’s world player(s) get transported into the game’s universe and need to find a way back home. They ought to teach these game characters a thing or two. They’re just game characters after all…right?
