    Harry Potter was very lonely. Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.

    Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.

    Summary

    If there was one thing Tony Stark hated, it was seeing something broken but being unable to fix it. It was the closest thing to OCD he had. Just staring at something broken made his fingers twitch for a tool and his mind whirl with possibilities to fix it, to make it better. Honestly, it was annoying sometimes, the longest he had ever held out on trying to fix something was a day and by the time he had started his hands were shaking and he was sweating like a sinner in church. It was ridiculous.

    It also didn't stop at inanimate objects.

    Freak knows his duty is to his family who has selflessly taken him and cared for him and given him an entire cupboard, all to himself. Aunt Petunia made it clear he shouldn't believe a word those people say. That they can use magic to make him forget or suck his soul out. That he has to stay there and keep his head down so he can come back home every summer. Freak knows how to do that, he thinks. No one will take him from his family as long as he's careful. He doesn't understand why they keep telling him all about his good-for-nothing parents, but his Aunt Petunia was clear on what the truth was and that he shouldn't believe them.
    So he doesn't.
